Should you update this plugin today?
The advice before any update is always the same: read the changelog, then read the support forum for people it broke. This does both for any plugin on WordPress.org, in seconds, and tells you what it found.

What the new release says it changes: a security fix, a breaking change, a raised PHP minimum, something to do after updating.
The support forum
Every topic opened since the release, read for one thing above all: did the update break something, and how badly.
The release itself
How long it has been out, and whether it is tested with the WordPress version you are running.
The verdicts
- Update now: the release fixes a security issue and nobody reports it breaking sites.
- Safe to update: out for three days or more, and the forum reports nothing broken by it.
- Wait a few days: too new to judge, or one serious report worth reading first.
- Test on staging first: a breaking change is announced, or a security fix is reported to break things.
- Hold: several people report the site going down or checkout, forms or login breaking.
Every verdict links to the topics and the changelog lines behind it. It is a reading of what people report, not a test of your site: keep backups, and update stores and client sites on staging first.
